A Must go; words can hardly do justice to the place. The waves are soft and rolling except when tides are high. There are a few establishments offering water sports activities; prices are are your choice of sport and since there are quite a few , i found them a bit expensive. However having said that; since the crowd is much better that the more popular beaches in the northl your experience of the beach is way better. A place where you can truly relax

Clean, serene, relaxing beach...with decent shacks around...good place to unwind admidst the sound of waves & sea-breeze..

Beach is fairly clean. Great for an early morning jog. There is a shoe stealing stray dog though, completely harmless but loves to take off with any footwear left on the beach :p

It was a quiet place, a good getaway from the noisy city! Outside the hotel was the market, honestly didn't step out since I was busy with the marriage and loved the food. Slept all day and chilled inside the hotel only.

Cavelossim Beach is a little corner of paradise, gorgeous white sand, spotlessly clean and just beautiful. The beach is huge but never crowded and the sunsets are the most spectacular I have ever seen, highly recommend

This is a general comment, about the wonderful beach at Cavelossim, and the equally excellent restaurants . While much of Goa, especially the North, is getting crowded and a bit like the worst of Spanish Costas, with sunbeds for sardines, and some dubious tourists ( a comment loosely borrowed from a Goan press article), Cavelossim stands out as more laid back and relaxing. We have been coming to this beach for 20 years, and in once sense I am reluctant to spread the good news. However this season has been disastrous, for a number of mostly political reasons (Russian economy, visa problems etc), so perhaps it is not a bad idea to praise that which deserves it. A 5 kilometre stretch of beach with space, with a dozen + beach bars and space to walk without the mass tourism. head south and you get to the river Sal estuary, nothing at all down here really for the last couple of kilometres except, seclusion and some interesting birdlife. The Beach bars are all excellent, though our favourites are Caf¨¦ Beach Hut, and a kilometre south Mikes' Place run bay James and Mike Barreto with a great staff in both bars. We usually park up at Caf¨¦ Beach Hut and then walk to Mike's for a lunchtime drink before returning for lunch at the Beach Hut. Caf¨¦ Beach Hut is along the road opposite the Byke hotel and as I said Mike's a 20 minute walk south.Cavellosim has quite a few excellent places to eat, behind the "Department Store Saga" the 200 mtr road has no fewer the 5 excellent places to eat Mike's is probably the most popular (yes it's the same Mike as you saw at the beach bar earlier, and James owns the excellent hotel Casa de Cris just opposite)., but all there restaurants are excellent. There are another half dozen places to eat round this area and a short inexpensive (300 rupee return) taxi south will get you to three others worth a mention, Betty's Place, Hill's Den, and Fishermans Warf, the last one a little more expensive but really excellent. Expensive is a relative term, a meal for two with drinks ?25 instead of the ?15 at the inexpensive ones. So there you have it a closely guarded secret, revealed for all.

Beach is not so crowded as the beaches in North Goa. Good for couples, families who want to have privacy at the beach. Beach also has good shacks. Waves are pretty decent so one can easily bathe in it. Awesome experience. Water sports are limited.

By the time we reached Cavelossim, it was post noon and it was blazing hot though it was December. The beach was much different than the others. I would call it the "Shells Beach". The entire sand was full of shells and we were literally walking on them.Many shacks on the beachfront. But we did not visit any of them. Definitely a must visit in Goa!
