For my girlfriend's father's 89th birthday we went across the border to East Hereford to drive to the top on Mont-Hereford. The view was amazing! There is a plaque at the top dedicated to the donor, Neil Tillotson, who gifted the land to the Canadians. I used to work for Neil at the Balsams Hotel, Dixville Notch, NH, from the time i was (Sssh! I lied about my age) 14 to 18 in the grand dining room. This is a great stop if you have older folks traveling with you. You can see mountain peaks in Canada, ME, NH & VT. Tres Bon!
