We visited Lady Musgrave Island in September 2014 via a cruise from the Town of 1770. The snorkeling experience and glass bottom boat tour left us with the most beautiful and amazing memories. I am glad we did this trip and would remember it always. Special thanks to the cruise company and staff who worked so hard to make our day special.

Early start in the morning as we had an hours drive before we got on the boat.... But totally worth it. If you get sea sick I recommend taking pills before the trip, Staff are very helpfully if you do find yourself unwell. Weather was fantastic, lagoon was very calm and secure while snorkelling. We added on the 1/2day fishing in the afternoon which was such a thrill even managed to haul up a snapper for tea and a shark for show. The fishing guide was very helpfully and informative.Good value for money, great selection for lunch and plenty of it.... you wont go hungry. One thing I regret missing is the Island walk about tour. We had to miss this due to the booked fishing trip. But it leaves something for us to do if we go again.Don't hesitate book it! you wont regret it.

Absolutely stunning cruise with stunning wildlife. Beautiful Turtles were the highlights, which actually let you swim with them and that makes for some stunning memories and photos. The boat ride is just over an hour and a half each way the boat is comfortable and clean enough. If you have a weak stomach take pills first as it seemed half the ship was vomiting. On arrival you do a tour of the island with the beautiful birds nesting and the turtle tracks up on the beach for nesting. Back on the boat, a really nice lunch and then there's about 2.5 hours left to snorkel. Don't expect to relax as there's a lot to do on this day but when you're on the reef you want to see it all. One mistake I made, wear lots of sunblock!!

The day cruise to Lady Musgrave island was very well organized, the staff on board were very knowledgeable, safety conscious and extremely friendly. The food and drinks(non alcohol) were plentiful and tasty. The snorkeling was breathtaking!! We had the perfect day. The boat ride to and from the island is about 90 min so take a good book and relax on the way there and unwind on the return trip!

Lady Musgrave Tours were fantastic. It is great value for money. We took our 3 kids snorkelling out on the reef and felt completely safe. The food offered was very good and fresh. The staff were passionate and helpful and very knowledgable. Such a great experience.

Great Barrier Reef is a must see tour attraction in Australia. Lady Musgrave Island is certainly a unique reef island that cannot be missed! Reefs that last hundreds and thousands of years plus fish and turtles plus reef island that are just spectacular!!!

Beautiful place. Lovely cruise. Water is amazing and the island itself is indescribable. Loved it. Defiantly going back!

This trip is expensive but you do really get your money's worth. Very comfortable boat trip but can get quite rough (make sure you take travel sickness tabs beforehand). Delicious morning tea, lunch (including prawns) and afternoon tea (scones with jam and cream) and plenty of it. Snorkelling was wonderful. Saw lots of beautiful coral and fish. Non-swimmers are catered for with life jackets and flotation devices so no-one who wants to snorkel misses out. The water is 6 to 7 metres deep. The pontoon is large with change rooms and undercover seating. Walk on the stand was rushed but interesting. Staff were courteous and professional without exception.

We went on the tour from1770. It started at 8a.m. and finished about 5pm. Well worth the money as it was for the whole day and you had morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. all very nice. The trip out took 1.1/2 hours quite a long trip. Nothing much to see on the way out. When we got there we did snorkelling first which was great. I really enjoyed that. Then off to the beautiful lady Musgrove Island. That was really good, our guide was very passionate about all things living there. She was very good. Then on to the glass bottomed boat, that was also very interesting. All in all a good day.

We came to the spirit of 1770 boat tours especially to dive on the island, however, the Dive masters come from miles away and you can only dive if more than 3 divers.. So, there was only me...as it happens it was tough as and no diving could have happened anyway.. On to the tour. The owner is over 80, still stands up front on this ship as it bounces it's way through the seas..from a flat calm 1770 bay, turn the corner and hold on tight... It's great fun if you like the open seas but not so if your sea sick. I was fine and had a ball:)He shouts and screams at folk, is as mad as a hatter but entertaining none the less..The other staff are all great.. We reached the island, a beautiful oasis of tree, coral, fish and birds..a walk through the woods is interesting although didn't spend long enough there. Back to the pontoon where the boat moors and a trip in a glass bottom boat. A great buffet lunch followed by a snorkel in the lagoon.. Fishes and turtles and coral to wonder at. It was quite cold when we went so was glad to get changed and have a cup of tea. Was a great day out, with a nice crew.. Just a shame about the diving. If you want to dive plan ahead as not going to be that straight forward.

If you're in the south of queensland, this is the best option to see the Great Barrier Reef. Super preserved island. Don't need to do scuba diving to see the corals. I could swim all over them, with less than 30 cm distance. Beautiful! But you must book the trip! If you are driving you can sleep in the Town of 1770. But if you don't have a car (like me) the best option is to stay in Bundaberg and book the trip with Lady Musgrave Cruises (1800631770). They pick you up in the hotel! I haven't booked and almost lost the trip! Don't take a chance!

After travelling in rough seas (can't be helped that's just Mother Nature) and pounded by waves the entire time while sitting on the top deck, was feeling extremely sea sick by the time we got to the island. Decided to relax in the sun for the 30 mins before lunch was served and watch the fish feeding. "John" the owner was extremely rude to us and said it was "unbelievable" that we weren't out enjoying the island (we had been there maybe 10 minutes). We then decided to venture out to do some snorkelling, mainly to get away from the loud and obnoxious John, only to hear he and the staff complaining about us not wanting to do anything... Excuse me after the money we paid we could do what we wanted and especially take some time to sit after feeling very ill. Overall, the island and snorkelling was amazing. However the owner and some of the staff really ruined a beautiful day with their extremely poor customer service. Maybe John should sell the business for the "30 million" he was boasting it's worth on the way home..

This was a fantastic day out. The island and surrounding lagoon are beautiful. We took a glass bottom boat out around the bay and saw some turtles, fish and coral, then a walk on the island with Lisa. She was very informative about the island. Followed this with lunch and an afternoon snorkelling. The kids had so much fun would recommend to everyone.

Our day trip was fantastic. Beautiful outing. Lots of activities. Snorkeling. Swimming with turtles. Food was great. Staff are very welcoming, helpful & know a lot of knowledge. Very interesting tour at the corral island. Thank you.
