Very pretty and worth a stop. Every time we went there was a rainbow! Not much to do there in the winter, but in the summer you can climb stairs to the top of the falls.

The falls here are wide but nothing spectacular. The area was crowded when we visited and we found other falls to be more interesting.

Of all the waterfalls in Iceland, this is an average ones it's lovely and all, and relatively close to Reykjavik than others, but there are bigger more exciting waterfalls

Did a quick stop here during a day trip in South West Iceland. Much less touristy than many other places, probably due to the lack of facilities. We didn't venture far due to the cold but I would be interested to go back in the summer so I can get closer to the waterfall by walking up the path.

Stopped here on the long trip to Jokulsarlon. Impressive view from the top of the 400+ steps that lead to the top (good workout!). Good photos to be had.

This was my favourite waterfall in Iceland that I visited. It's impressive from a distance and you can get really close to the water in this little alcove that would be quite romantic if there weren't so many children about (I think there was a couple of bus loads of schools that day). There's not much to say about it, it's a waterfall, it's impressive, it's slippery in winter.

We visited during winter. The scenery was all icy. You could feel the rumble of the water underneath the ice you can go up to a viewing platform. A small path will lead you away from the waterfall where there, s another small waterfall hidden.

we stopped at this waterfall for half an hour on our way past. It was a cold February day but the sun was out and there was a rainbow over the falls which was stunning. You can drive right up to the falls and there is a restaurant and souvenir shop close by. Well worth a look.

We toured most of the Island and this is one of my favorite waterfalls. We were here in the summer, so the water was roaring, the sun was out and beautiful rainbows were seen. There are 3 or for different levels or view points, one being on the ground as close as you care to walk and get wet, a second about 3/4 of the way up, this is where the mossy face is, and 3rd all the way at the top. I also recommend hiking further back as there are some smaller but still nice waterfalls and rapids.

Hired a car and drove Route 1 towards Vik, Skogafoss is easily visible from the road. Easy to find and relatively quiet at the falls. We walked up the steps to the viewing platform which has a great panoramic view of the coast. Stopped at the restaurant and had Icelandic soup which was very tasty!!! Escape the Golden circle masses and enjoy the falls, magnificent .

It is a must! February it was still free flowing! And a nice rainbow had captured the feeling! Yes, it was snowing, but did not deter our visit!

We visited the waterfall during a south shore adventure excursion with Reykjavik excursions. The weather was pretty cold and snowy and windy, consequently with the moisture in the air from the waterfall it froze my camera not before I had got a number of photos in.There is a walk way / staircase alongside the fall which takes you to the top, but with the weather we did not bother.Impressive waterfall which looked stunning in the snow.
