I was so happy I made the day trip from Adana to visit Narlikuyu. We picked a restaurant along the bay and had a long late afternoon dinner. The atmosphere was perfect the bay was emerald blue. We could easily see the many fish in the bay. The fish was pretty good not as good as the balik bazaar in Istanbul, but the location more than made up for that.

Enjoy eating fish in one of the restaurant of the bay. Great panorama, romantic atmosphere at night. Try to swim in the cold water of the bay, especially in the crazily hot summer, it is really relieving. Prices will be a little more expensive than the average in the region, but nothing scary.

Best place for fish. You should try it for sure if you are visiting Mersin. "Lagos" is the fish you must try.

Tranquility....peace....deep blue waters that gradually change shades to end almost white..... picteresque alfresco restaurants.....some of the best and freshest sea food available.... and if the weather is nice like it was for us.... oh man..... you will feel you are in the lap of God.....We went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch.... the sly was spotless blue.... not a sign of white anywhere..... the sun was mellow and burning in all its glory..... we picked the restaurant that is at the middle of the "U" shape of the cove..... there is actually a small white sand beach here..... if you want you can actually take a dip here......we just sat in the sun enjoying the scenery..... the sea reflected the azure blue in the distance and as the white sands became more promiment kept changing its colour to white by the time the water reached us......there was hardly any sound other than the gentle lapping of the waves on the shore.....there were not too many guest when we reached so i guess that helped in creating the aura of tranquility.....the food was good - the freshest calamari i have ever had.... the prawns in butter and garlic was literally the food of the Gods..... if you are high on cholestorol then this should be avoided but then you would need to eat almost only green veggies in Turkey given the butter used and the heavy food..... nevertheless the prawn was divine..... use the slightly toasted bread that they serve to dip in the sauce / curry of the prawn .... my mouth waters even as i write about it.... we had the lagos fish fried - good fish but then nothing awe inspiring like the prawn and the calamari.....the service was good....the prices were cheap.... you can keep sitting for as long as you want....... a must visit but the weather needs to be right.....

You can here in Narlikuyu, near a very bright, blue sea, sit one of a fish restaurant, take one of the freshest fish and near it, it should be raki, which is a traditional Turkish drink. It will be one of the best days of your life.
