It's a beautiful beach, with (as the name suggests) beautiful sand. It can be a little crowded, which is why it can support two tavernas. Still, it's a short hop (even walkable) from Livadi port.

This beach is phenomenal. Very clean water and not crowded. If the weather is very windy the blowing sand and dust can be very annoying. Prefer the afternoon when the sunset is wonderful.It cannot be approach by the public bus neither on foot from the main harbor of Serifos. That's why it is peacefully and not touristically spoiled.

I was in Serifos on a wedding a the bride a groom (groom eas born in thhe island) both recommended spending some time on the beach (voted beat beach in Europe 2004 & 2009). We rented a scooter and got there easily to find a truly beautiful beach - not the picture perfect Caribbean type, but one that had a wilder beauty. Aside from the beach, the best thing about the location is the traditional Tavern right by the sand. It was family run and had fantastic food - all local and made practically in front of you. If you like fresh seafood this is a fantastic place - we had the fresh whole calamari grilled and was the tastiest thing ever!

I love this beach! I can't explain why it seems so special - other beaches have lovely golden sand, shade from trees, beautiful clear water... but this one just felt special. It is not surprising that it won awards from National Geographic (2003, 2004, 2009).If you are looking for an organised beach with loungers and music, then this is NOT the place for you. If you like plenty of space, with a friendly 'family and friends' atmosphere, then you would love it here. There are 2 tavernas at the back of the beach, tucked away so they do not spoil the view, whilst still allowing you to gaze over the sea whilst you enjoy refreshments or a meal.We took the bus from Lavadi (a few minutes ride) and walked back (mainly down hill) in the shade of the early evening ( about 30 minutes).

Psili Ammos si trova nella parte settentrionale di Serifos: essendo rivolta ad Est e abbastanza chiusa, risulta tranquilla anche nelle giornate particolarmente ventose. Già quando si arriva dalla strada, dove va lasciato il mezzo di trasporto, ci si accorge dello splendore di questa baia: acqua color smeraldo dalle mille tonalità. Dopo la discesa di un centinaio di scalini, si raggiunge la spiaggia: la prima cosa che si può notare è una distesa di fiori bianchissimi che nascono spontaneamente dalla sabbia ... Incredibile! La seconda cosa che colpisce è la morbidezza della sabbia: sembra quasi di camminare sul borotalco ... Il mare fa il resto. Ovviamente ci sono diverse tamerici alla cui ombra affidare le ore più calde della giornata.

Il giorno del nostro arrivo a Serifos, ci siamo affrettati a noleggiare un auto e ci siamo diretti subito fino alla famosa spiaggia Psili Ammos, famosa per essere stata premiata nel 2004 e 2009, migliore spiaggia d'Europa da un noto giornale inglese. Situata a circa 10 minuti di auto dal porto di Livadi, costeggiando il porto, alla fine troverete dei cartelli che indicano la spiaggia. Si inizia a salire per le rudi stradine quando tutto a un tratto davanti a voi troverete un vero e proprio spettacolo della natura. Lasciate l'auto a bordo strada e dall'alto ammirate Psili Ammos in tutta la sua bellezza, fatta di mare cristallino dai mille colori, circondato da macchia mediterranea. Vi si accede scendendo un nel po' di scalette, ma quando i vostri piedi toccheranno la sabbia, noterete la soffi cita della stessa. La cosa più nella in assoluto è il vedere la presenza di splendidi fiori sulla nascere dalla sabbia. Dopo quel giorno non siamo più riusciti a vedere Psili Ammos nel pieno del suo splendore perchè il Meltemi tirava molto forte... Proprio il Meltemi è il punto debole di questa spiaggia perchè esposta molto ai venti.

La spiaggia di psili ammos è una destinazione da non perdere. Ci sono anche delle taverne che non deturpano l'ambiente. Consiglio utile recarsi alla spiaggia nel primo pomeriggio per non trovare troppa gente e per sfruttare al meglio i giochi di colore data la posizione rispetto al sole

Καμια σχεση με την ψιλη αμμο που ισω? θυμαστε απο παλια. Αν βρητε χωρο στο parkin, αν μπορεσετε να περασετε μεσα απο ρακετε? κλπ εμποδια, θα μπητε και στη θαλασα. Για νεου? ιδανικη ισω?. Για μεγαλυτερου? οχι.

Spiaggia ombreggiata dalle tamerici, acque cristalline, ideale anche per i bambini visti i fondali bassi, ottime le due taverne che consentono di rifocillarsi con del buon cibo greco e del pesce fresco...
