After staying next the the museum we chose to visit one morning and we were not disappointed. It's full of folklore and items from the war over a couple of floors. We also enjoyed a evening in the grounds which when lit up it is wonderful.

A must visit if you are into guns, grenades helmets and other ww ii items. The lady in the reception is very friendly and helpful. unfrotunately she speaks no other language than greek. Entrance is three euros. Folklore collection is not very big but the overall feelng we had is that people run this museum with love and special care. Lots of items of the famous ww ii battle in leros. Very nice.

Not overly friendly staff who turned us away an hour before closing time. Having been before, it only takes half an hour to trot round. Would not have minded too much if we hadn't just wasted ten euros on a taxi to get here.

Great looking building and very interesting historical museum. It is small but presents a lot of different aspects of life and history in Leros. We were fortunate to have ms Bella on hand to explain the various displays. She has helped to collect and display the various artifacts and has her own historical information to offered to visitors. We'll worth a visit.

Very good displays with all exhibits having information in English, curator also very knowledgable and helpful, make sure to visit the Allied War cemetary further along the road

Interesting folk museum in one of the charming mercantile houses here. Worth a few hours review of the historical artefacts and collections here if you want to get to understand island Greek culture. Also don't forget to go to the Archaeological Museum in Ayia Marina or the exquisite icon museum up at the castle.

We waited for the museum to be open and were rewarded by a fascinating view of how life used to be in Leros. The display of surgical equipment was particularly interesting. There were other displays of art work, local costume and musical instruments. The big displays about the war were impressive. The lady who runs the museum is very helpful and explains some of the displays if she has time.
