If you want to take an interesting walk as a break from sun bathing, walk to the little church of Ayios Isidoros situated on a tiny rock with a walkway from the mainland. From here you will also find the old German pillboxes used in WW2. There is a wonderful fish restaurant on the beach of Gournes. You can take a taxi from your hotel to reach the beach.

Awesome beach for families!! Shallow sea out to 40 metres+ Nice and sandy, no rocks or sea urchins!! Shady trees to park under never overcrowded. No charge for beds and umbrellas just be polite and get a drink delivered from one of the 2 tavernas that provide them. And yes they deliver to you on the beach the 2 guys are waiting for your orders!! Great sunsets!
