A bit run down but the authorities are trying hard to restore this fabulous Italian designed Art Deco themed waterfront town. I just hope they get the money to restore it to it's former glory.

not much there to be honest- few restaurant/bars and then the port. We personally didn't have much time to look around so maybe there is more to find.

Lakki and it's harbor and marina are worthy a visit.Enjoy the "art deco" Italian buildings, walking in the wide streets under the eucalyptus trees,.On the way to "War museum" there are many fine beaches with crystal clear water and pine trees. Lakki is a very quiet village with a very interesting and very human city plan. The facilities offered by the neighboring marina are very good.

We remembered our last visit here about 10 years ago as a bit of a dismal affair. A large sprawling port with huge Italian buildings. We were however pleasantly surprised. It seemed a nice enough place with some nice restaurants and cafes. Its not a pretty little fishing harbour but has its own charms. We were exploring the Island again on a quad bike, but stopped for a walk around. Its more "Greek" which we liked and we enjoyed some refreshments in a local cafe.

To appreciate Lakki more you need to visit the War museum as this will open it up a lot better. Wander round and you will find yourself going Arr yes over and over after. if you don't vist the museum or go with a guide it may seem a bit of a ghost town where the ferries come in.

Big natural port . Marina staff very helpful ( especially Georgeos ,the port agent ).Wide avenue built by the Italians during Mussolini ( his summer house is at the entrance of the port , right side)

Lakki Port on Leros is surrounded by Mussolini's vision of Art Deco. The marina staff on the Town Quay were very helpful. with toilets, showers, wifi and self service laundry. The cafe at the marina was great for coffee early or late.

Our experience of visiting Lakki was good. There are plenty of the buildings that have been renovated. I would recommend reading up on the history of the Italian occupation of Lakki to get the best out of your visit.

We ported here but didn't spend much time the first two days... Headed back on a quad later and really enjoyed the feel of the place. Some good restaurants and lovely views from around the place

Nowhere quite like Lakki. It's like an abandoned hollywood film set.Art Deco buildings, wide tree lined avenues and a ghostly quietness.Locals call it ''The Italian Town'' Built by the Italians during Mussolni's time.A complete contrast to anywhere else on the Island or any other come to that.

I really love Lakki, with its wide streets covered by eucalyptus trees, the promenade, the Italian cinema and many other buildings that are unique in the east Mediterranean
