Deposito de Guerra is not just a museum it is one man's lifetimes passion for history. This is a remarkable place we were amazed at Mr Paraponiaris's collections of artifacts from the Second World War. The history of the island was really brought to life here - a quite incredible story and a fascinating day out. After visiting the museum we found walking guides from Leros Active and walked all over the island looking at military ruins left from the war. Quite amazing!

this was most interesting. The displays made the history very vivid and the video presentation showed just how much the islanders suffered.

Very good but as I don't understand any War this just shows how ww2 affected all parts of Europe even the now little gems we go for our hols to.

It was really great to see what soldiers used in the war, not only their cloths, guns and bumbs but also the instruments of the field hospital were interesting. The noises in the tunnel made it feel real. To do when you visit Leros!!!

Deposito di Guerra è un interessante museo, creato con tanta passione da Iannis Paraponiaris, che ha raccolto testimonianze, vecchie armi e divise, foto, libri e documenti sulla battaglia di Leros (8 settembre - 16 novembre 1943). Il museo è ricco di oggetti che descrivono le fasi della battaglia, da differenti prospettive (italiana, tedesca e britannica). è un luogo culturale molto importante che contribuisce a conservare la memoria di una pagine di storia dimenticata.Deposito di Guerra is an interesting museum, created with passion by Iannis Paraponiaris, which has collected old weapons and uniforms, photos, documents and books on the Battle of Leros, during the WWII (8 September to 16 November 1943). The museum is full of objects that describe the phases of the battle, from different perspectives. It’s a very important cultural place that helps to preserve the memory of a forgotten page of history.
