The territory is quite large, and it was interesting even in spite of the cold weather (early March). Giraffes and elephants are love.

I love this Zoo, the animals always look well and happy. They have good living areas. The inside displays are well done.A little more English would help but then it is in GermanyOne of the better Zoos, I have visited and I have been to a lot all over the world.Easy to get to by public transport.Cafe and food not bad for this type of service.

We've been to the Tierpark many times but the "meet your favourite animal" experience was something out of this world. You have to call up the administration well in advance to book a private visit. We decided to visit the animals of the polar world and were not disappointed. We met with our personal zoo keeper Frank and followed him around his polar world for over an hour. He explained all the little details in a life of a keeper and brought us closer to the animals than we had ever hoped. We met the baby seals from California and even the ice bears (check out my pics) - a phenomenal experience. Again you need to book well in advance ie up to 3 months and you can bring max 4 people. Thank you Frank - we admire you and your colleagues for the passion you have for those beautiful creatures and look forward to coming back very soon!!

Ok, let me start by saying that it is not the biggest and most modern zoo you will ever visit. BUT it has everything you need/want in a zoo! Lots of exotic animals, the "standard" zoo animals (Lions, Polar bears, Giraffes, etc...) and a really nice Aquarium! What made me give this zoo a 5* rating, however, are the extremely nice zoo keepers, who are more than happy to give you lots of extra information! MAKE SURE TO GO FOR THE FEEDING TIMES!!! Ever seen a lion eat a massive piece of meat a few feet away from your face?

It is a nice zoo not far from the center of munich. The only advise i would give it to look in advance at the summer / winter schedule as some animals are not staying there during winter starting November

It is very well organised, clean and maintained zoo. It is somehow smaller in size when compared to Nurenburg zoo still a nice way to spend some time with animals.

Quite friendly environment for animals, multiple play areas for kids, elephants enclosure still under construction. However, many parts& facilities closed during winter times (much more than in Vienna or in Amsterdam), excellent visiting time starting Spring

I love zoos therefore this place was already on my list to visit while in Munich. It turned out to be a huge disappointment due to entry fees policy. Few tips for those who want to visit:1.U3 line will take quite fast and easy from city centre2.Short walk and you'll find yourself in beautiful peaceful surroundings3.TAKE CASH WITH YOU AS CREDIT CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED!4.Even though it says on the cashier window that DEBIT CARDS are accepted it happens that only MASTERCARD will take you into the ZOO, forget it if you have VISA like myself. We left the area as I couldn't be bothered searching for ATM.Dear ZOO Director! We are in the XXI century now, surely all cards as method of payment should be accepted especially when you charge 14 EURO per head! Shame on you!

While in Germany for Oktoberfest we ventured through Munich and walked to the zoo.The Zoo was huge a was filled with every type of animal we were highly impressed by the vast variety of animals and the beautiful scenery around. If you have a family or you are out with friends I recommend this Zoo for a wild day out.

i liked it all.the park itself is absolutely huge.i suggest at least 2 days to be able to see all the animal enclosures.the variety of animals are absolutely terrific, there is such a biodiversity, and different species is abosultly mind boggling.
