The mensa serves some decent variety of food items which range from european to chinese to Indian. I have been exposed to Italian and German cuisines here and the choice of food available is superb.

Some of the buildings were pretty. The students were not very friendly. There is a lot of construction going on around the campus making driving in the city difficult. This was the least appealing university that we saw on our European trip.

Very academic course in full facility university. Lunch in university cafeteria adequate. University language course is not very good for developing conversational skills. Is geared to grammar and reading for university study. Chose Goethe Institute if you are interested in developuing conversational language skills. Goethe Institute is next tot he Novotel and Concert Hall. They will find accomodation for you too.

The University gives the city a lot of its young energy and charm. I'm not sure how this is a tourist attraction, but it's a center of life in the city and worth walking through! The medical clinics are extraordinary beautiful buildings; they look like hotels with lovely gardens. Start there!

My husband attended a conference at the University, and I merely walked around the grounds and visited the "Universeum", as they call their small museum which describes the history of the University itself.Entry to the Universeum is free, and, while the displays are all in German, they were able to lend me an English guidebook (€30 to buy) for use while I toured the exhibits. I spent a pleasant 45 minutes or so here, and I imagine a fluent German-speaker might find even more of interest.
