Great place and much more than just the canopy. It includes an interactive museum and regularly scheduled falcon show. The tree-top boardwalk has stops that tell the visitor (in multiple languages) about the seasons and the various trees and wildlife in Europe. A few points have options for more challenging walking/balancing, and there's an even higher area that functions as a lookout with some sets of binoculars for use. At the end of the walk, of course, there is the slide. But, make sure you've collected the mandatory mat prior to entering the canopy walk.

The Biosphere is a fascinating, hands-on educational experience at tree top level. Located just at the edge of the quaint town of Fischbach bei Dahn in the Rheinland/Pfalzwald, the Biosphere is a combination of a world-class childs playground with a Please Touch Museum approach. The result is a stunning catwalk at tree-top levels for young and old alike that tells the seen and the unseen story of the trees and their environment during the four seasons. While traversing the catwalk (complete with bridges, towers and slides), one can listen to the various bird and animal sounds by the push of a button. It's a classic learn by play experience for the children. Then, appropriately at the end, one can slide down a breathtakingly fast spiral sliding board using a protective cloth provided at the entrance. Not for the faint of heart but one can choose to walk down the more conventional wood stairs to the forest floor. The Biosphere is replete with a restaurant, castle garden and an education center that also can house overnight stays of student groups. We found a group of fun-loving students and teachers from nearby France that obviously had a good time. The Biosphere is a real introduction to the secret life of trees. And right in the heart of Germany's second largest forest. Very cool.

Im Biosph?renhaus ist eine interessante Ausstellung leider sind nicht mehr alle Funktionen intakt, die Vogelflugvorf¨¹hrungen sind unterhaltsam und lehrreich,der Baumwipfelpfad leider nur f¨¹r Kinder interressant da man keinen sch?nen Ausblick hat.Ge?rget hat mich,dass man nur Karten 10€ f¨¹r alle drei Atraktivit?ten kaufen kann. Aber nicht jeder kann und will alles erleben.

Fauna, Flora und Entstehungsgeschichte der S¨¹dpfalz sind sehr anschaulich aufgearbeitet, f¨¹r Erwachsene und f¨¹r Kinder. Vielf?ltige interaktive Pr?sentation und ein wunderbarer Day-and-Night Film ¨¹ber das Nachtleben der Fauna sowie ein sehr sch?ner zum Biosph?renhaus geh?riger Baumwipfelpfad. Spass haben, Naturkenntnisse erwerben/ vertiefen/ miterleben und ?berraschung/ kleines Abenteuer sind hier eng verwoben. Und auch der nahe Naturweg in das direkt angrenzende Tal mit seinen Auen und Teichen begeistert und ist f¨¹r jeden machbar.

Ho visitato il centro durante un viaggio studio sulle Riserve della Biosfera del proramma MaB Unesco, qui ci troviamo nella parte tedesca della riserva transfrontaliera dei Vosgi Nord-Palatinato.La Boisphaerenhaus ¨¨ una dimostrazione di come un fabbricato (un po' troppo moderno per i gusti nostri e la zona) possa essere completamente autosufficiente a livello di produzione energetica, e nello stesso tempo sappia offrire un centro didattico di alto livello e, la chicca - un lungo percorso sugli alberi a 20 metri d'altezza, un capolavoro per capire la vita della "biosfera" e di quanto puo' essere piccolo l'uomo visto da quelle altezze. Questa "casa della Biosfera" ¨¨ una combinazione di un parco giochi educativi di classe superiore e un laboratorio naturale. E' anche centro di educazione all'ambiente con possibilit¨¤ di pernottamento di gruppi di studenti. Ci hanno spiegato che siamo nel cuore della seconda foresta pi¨´ grande della Germania, che in pratica si aggancia alle ampie zone boscate francesi. Una zona poco conosciuta dagli Italiani, ma per noi e' stata un'ottima scoperta. Sa infatti offrire, oltre questi centri educativi, interessanti reperti storici sopravvissuti alle guerre di confine che hanno interessato nei secoli questa bella zona. Concludendo, un ottimo centro divulgativo sulla natura nel suo complesso, merita una visita se passate da queste parti.

Das Biosph?renhaus bei Fischbach bei Dahn ist ein Erlebnis, vor allem f¨¹r Familien mit Kindern. Man kann spielerisch die Natur (vor allem den Pf?lzer Wald) entdecken. Es gibt viele Animationen und interaktive Ausstellungen. Ein weiteres Highlight ist der Baumwipfelpfad, bei dem man ¨¹ber 270 Meter in einer H?he von ca. 20 Metern durch das Ge?st der heimischen B?ume geht. Das Biosph?renhaus liegt generell in einer sehr reizvollen Gegend, man kann also sehr sch?n auch rund um das Gel?nde wandern oder spazieren gehen (Erlebniswege).
