Varied landscape and plenty of wildlife to see but unfortunately we went to both Lynx sites but came away without seeing one. Be careful as one of the sites is 16km down a dirt track road and some of the locals in their 4 +4 with a boat on a trailer do not expect tourists to be avoiding the pot holes etc..... The site at the Dam is much more accessible and pretty. Should you wish to drive through the park be aware what with the speed limit, the terrain and distance it will take 2 hours, if you want to get somewhere else quick, double back on your self and take a faster road.

The park is very scenic and has plenty of wildlife, particularly birds, though most people are searching for the Iberian Lynx. It is very easy to see both Red and Fallow Deer, wild bulls and rabbits with foxes and boar being relatively common at twilight. Otters can also be spotted on the river below the dam but they are more a matter of luck as is the lynx.Notable birds include raptors such as Griffon and Black Vultures and Spanish Imperial Eagles which are fairly easy to see if you are in the area for several days. The highly sought after Wallcreeper also resides in the park and there are numerous forest species including woodpeckers etc.It is not possible to explore the park at will since most of the area is in the hands of private landowners. Visitors can only drive along a few roads which pass through the park or use the picnic areas by the river or near the reservoir. Nonetheless there are some good viewpoints (miradors in Spanish) along these routes and numerous lynx sightings have been made from them.Due to the restricted access these roadways can become quite busy at times but actually this is not as negative in terms of lynx sightings as one might believe. The animal has no predators and is relatively unconcerned about human activity, within reason. The presence of other spotters can help when a lynx actually appears, as it is unlikely to be missed. There are huge swathes of land to be observed, so a single viewer can easily be looking in the wrong direction, and lack of experience can also prevent detection as the animals are well camouflaged.It is important to take water at least when exploring the park as there is no infrastructure within it for making any purchases. It can get very hot in high summer.

Great birdlife - eagles of many species, griffon and black vultures, flycatchers, bee-eaters etc. saw hundreds of red and many fallow deer, a few wild boar but no lynx. The area is scenic but access is limited and you have to stick to roads and one or two tracks by dams. Most of the area owned by hunting estates or farms raising fighting bulls, so you cannot walk in the countryside, only view from the roadside. Contrary to some nature guides on the internet, there seem to be no wolves left in the region, according to local experts.

Fantastic wildlife. Great birds especially raptors! Best time would be spring and autumn for birding.

Lo mejor la fauna que all¨ª se puede observar: Lince ib¨¦rico, ¨¢guilas imperiales, ¨¢guilas reales, jabal¨ª, corzo, ciervo, conejos, gamos, nutria,...Lo peor es que todas las parcelas son privadas y est¨¢n valladas. Se hace dif¨ªcil pasear libremente por el monte.

Despu¨¦s de mucho tiempo queriendo ir, he aprovechado mis recientes vacaciones para hacer mi primera incursi¨®n en El Parque y estoy muy satisfecho. Sierra muy bonita y no demasiado agreste, con mucha luz. Parajes atractivos, tranquilos y el indudable est¨ªmulo de la posibilidad de ver alg¨²n lince y el resto de fauna. Eso si, con mucho respeto y cuidado, que es un patrimonio animal valios¨ªsimo que tenemos en peligro. Los mantes del senderismo tambi¨¦n tienen muchos kil¨®metros para disfrutar.

Im M?rz 2014 besuchten wir zum ersten Mal den "Parque Natural Sierra de Andujar".Die mediterrane Berglandschaft hat uns einfach ¨¹berw?ltigt. Im M?rz bl¨¹hen die ersten Pflanzen und ein traumhaftes Farbenmeer entsteht.Die Zugv?gel sind um diese Zeit auch bereits auf dem Weg zur¨¹ck. Eigentlich waren wir vor allem auf den Spuren des iberischen Luchses unterwegs. Leider konnten wir keines dieser wunderbaren, seltenen Raubtiere beobachten. Trotzdem wurden wir mit vielen anderen Tierbeobachtungen "entsch?digt" - Stein- und Kaiseradler, M?nchs- und G?nsegeier, Uhu, Steinkauz, Wiedehopf und unglaublich viele weitere Vogelarten konnten wir hautnah beobachten - F¨¹r Vogelfreunde einfach ein Muss. Daneben gab es hunderte von Rothirschen, iberische Steinb?cke, Mufflons und Wildschweine zu sehen.Auch ohne vielen Beobachtungen ist der Park sehenswert - die Landschaft ist so sch?n, dass man auch einfach in ihr verweilen kann.Wer Tiere beobachten will, sollte Fernglas, Kamera oder Spektiv nicht vergessen. F¨¹r die Beobachtungen eignen sich vor allem die beiden Sites Jandula Fluss und La Lancha. Hier gibt es die gr?sste F¨¹lle an Tieren und auch die Luchse sollten hier am ehesten zu beobachten sein. Wir freuen uns, dem Park im September erneut einen Besuch abzustatten

Es una sierra preciosa la cual recomiendo encarecidamente y sobre todo hacer rutas en bicicleta o andando ya que cuenta con senderos perfectamente se?alizados.

todo el parque merece una visita y para a los que le guste la naturaleza la posibilidad de ver un lince, o el vuelo de las aguilas imperiales, lo llena a¨²n m¨¢s de encanto, lastima que casi todo sea propiedad privada, ser¨ªa a¨²n mas expectacular si se pudiese acceder amas zonas

El Parque Natural de la Sierra de And¨²jar es un paraje increible. Los olivos y las encinas llenan los montes por d¨®nde adem¨¢s corren linces ib¨¦ricos, ciervos y una infinita diversidad de animales que casi puedes tocar. Subir hasta el Santuario de Ntra. Sra de la Cabeza (aunque tiene mil curvas) es tocar el cielo. Impresionante. Su gastronom¨ªa es excepcional y el rey de sus manjares es sin duda el buenisimo y sano aceite. No dej¨¦is de probar el chorizo de ciervo, algo exquisito. Es una belleza digna de conocer. Toda la zona cuenta con casas rurales d¨®nde pasar unos d¨ªas de total tranquilidad y rodeados de una naturaleza inigualable.

Hicimos una visita guisada en 4x4 en el parque , lo contratamos en Turismo verde Sierra de And¨²jar y fu¨¦ muy bueno, a pesar de que no conseguimos ver el lince ib¨¦rico, que es una de nuestros motivos del viaje. nos explic¨® los entresijos del parque. Carlos el gu¨ªa, adem¨¢s de ser de And¨²jar es un gran conocedor ldel parque y amante de los animales, sobre todo el lince.RECOMIENDO esta visita y con esta agencia.

El camino real te lleva desde Andujar hasta el Santuario (6 o 7 horas). Preciosos parajes vas dejando tras tus zancadas. Para nuestro gusto el espacio que va desde el descanso, en San Gin¨¦s, hasta el r¨ªo J¨¢ndula es el m¨¢s confortable pues llaneas durante muchos tramos y vas divisando el Santuario de la Virgen de la Cabeza a lo lejos.Desde los llanos de Pe?allana (Centro de Atenci¨®n al Visitante) puedes hacer la versi¨®n corta ( 4 horas). S¨®lo tienes un problema que el recorrido se hace por carretera, ya que los guardas de El Lugar no dejan pasar para conectar con la ca?ada real. Por tanto la subida al Cerro del Cabezo se realiza en un 80% por carretera.Otra versi¨®n, parecida a la anterior (4 horas) es ir en coche hasta San Gin¨¦s. Desde all¨ª seguir el camino real hasta el r¨ªo y posteriormente subir por la Cuesta de los Caracolillos, un poco dura al principio pero precioso su recorrido.Las tres versiones marcan un tiempo, que siempre hace referencia a la ida. Por tanto habr¨¢ que organizar la vuelta. Inolvidable en cualquiera de los casos llevar agua y una fruta.

Un sue?o llegar, unas curvas infinitas, unas vistas incre¨ªbles, magnifico. Merece la pena visitar este Parque Natural, buscar sus rutas en caballo, o bici, e introducirte en lo mas profundo para ver su diversidad de animales, plantas, matorrales y arboles, para ir tanto en familia como en pareja.

Naturaleza pura para pasear, disfrutar de la sombra de los ¨¢rboles (pinos, encinas...). Se puede observar alg¨²n ciervo, multitud de p¨¢jaros. Un lugar para desconectar y pasar unos d¨ªas en plena naturaleza. Aunque hay muchos complejos para alojarse, sobre todo en la vertiente desde And¨²jar, en la carretera para subir al Santuario, no est¨¢ sobreexplotada.
