I go to the Rye Patch Dam area to hunt for gold with a metal detector. The views are really great. I've stayed at the home owners cabins there a couple of years and they are close to the dam, fishing and the gold area. There is a convenience store at the exit that makes the remoteness liveable.

We enjoyed tenting here --beautiful site above the reservoir, cliffs at sunset and sunrise were stunning, saw pronghorn antelopes and pelicans. Serene. Clean, hot showers.
