This is one of our favorite state parks to camp in. It is small, secluded and quiet with lots of hiking trails. I like the solitude. The kids love taking the hike up to split rock, which is literally a large boulder in the middle of a field that is lying in 2 pieces. There is also a nice stone picnic shelter. There are 12 or 13 campsites, 6 with electric. All sites are first come first serve. This can be tricky when trying to plan a family trip, so we usually go here in the spring or fall when you'll definitely be able to get a site. Water is available, but no dump station. No showers or flush toilets. Only vault toilets. There is a beach, but not well maintained and usually overgrown with weeds. There is newer playground equipment for kids to play on.
