We arrived just before 10AM and the parking lot was nearly empty. When we left about 2 hrs later, it was packed. Beautiful view of the mountains outside and a gorgeous view underground. Our guide Daniel was very informative without getting too "sciencey". Even the young ones in the group were interested for the entire tour. That is a true accomplishment for any guide. Even though the tour was about a hour and a half long, time seemed to fly by.My husband took in the car museum (also included in the general admission) and said it was only OK. He said the cars were too close together. My 12 yr old daughter and I went into the Valley Museum across the street (also included in the general admission). We both loved it. It's small, but really has a nice display of antique household items and Civil War memorabilia.Definitely worth the price of admission.

There were at least 3 different caverns to choose to tour while in the area, but it said these were the biggest so that's how I chose. The cost was $26/pp. Maybe a little pricey, & certainly more than the other cavern choices, but not by that much & if I'm gonna pay near that amount, I want to see the biggest I can!! It also included a quick walk through tour of an antique car museum & another museum. We went through the car 1, which had some very nice rare examples! The tour guide for the caves was very knowledgeable. It is a little over a mile walk, & there were a few parts I had to duck to not hit my head. Nice & cool down there so it would feel great in the summer!

I had seen caves before but I am so glad I visited Luray Caverns! They are amazing and go on and on and on! They are well lit and the path allows astounding views! It is not cold in the cave so a light sweater is all you need. The ticket price also takes you to the toy museum, village museum and a superior auto museum! There are many more attractions during the warmer months! Well worth the drive from anyplace!!

My boyfriend and I are geology students that came to visit the caverns over spring break. Of the 3 caverns we visited, Luray caverns was the most stunning of all! Brent was our tour guide and he was wonderful!!

Well guided tour of some extensive caverns. The crowning feature is the stalagmite organ wich has plungers hitting rock formations to produce notes, it sounds like whole cave is producing music. It's cool in the cave, if you come in the summer be forewarned. Nice gift shop and cafeteria.

There was nothing to dislike. The tour guide was clearly knowledgeable, fully versed in lore. The caverns were spectacular, and I've been to many, including Carlsbad. If you have a chance riding through central Virginia, by all means, visit.

Your admission covers:-the cavern tour -Car & Carriage Caravan - lots of old 17-20c carriages and early 20c cars-Luray Valley Museum - history of the area, Native americans through 1800splus there are other attractions on property: toy collection, gift and candy shops, cafe, rope course and maze. All are nice, plan on spending several hours. The caverns are beautiful, nicely maintained. Tour guide (Kelly) was good, however she could probably use some better 'crowd control' skills. There were quite a few stragglers on the tour, and quite a few people near the back were chattering while she was trying to talk. Honestly, she needs not be afraid to tell people to 'keep up and hush'. Part of a tour is the information coming from the guide.

Was a great tour of a beautiful underground gem. Our guide was knowledgeable, funny and very personable. The gift shop had some great wine which we cracked that night. Could always do without so much humidity but was well worth the bit of hair frizz.

This is one of the largest caverns in the area and is indeed breathtaking in its scenic natural beauty! Pros:1. Arrive early in the day to beat the crowd/rush.2. Make sure to carry an outerwear if it gets too cold when underground.3. Lots of other attractions close-by for the kids.4. Tad pricey compared to other caverns in the area.
