Boy Scout Woods is one of 4 natural migratory bird sanctuaries maintained by the Houston Audubon Society. In Spring -- mid-March thru mid-May -- is the peak period for migrating birds to 'rest' in these parts. A fascinating place for a fascinating day trip by ferry or road along the inter-coastal waterways.
