You have to know where you're going to find Maydell Country Wines, but the trip is worth it! This is NOT your typical winery! They specialize in fruit wines, and the lemon, lime and peach were our favorites! While you're enjoying your wine, you can play with Daisy the Bassett hound, and May and Dell, the cats! There's also a friendly goat, but she has to stay outside! I'm always happy to support a family business, and this is a good one!

If you like sweet home made wine, made and served by unique folks, you'll love this place. They have a nice new tasting room on the square in Rusk but the original location east of Maydelle is one of a kind. Don't go looking for dry cabernet or merlot (although I think that they have that at the new tasing room). They are known for their unique sweet wines made from everything under the sun including grapefruit, lime, lemon and peach.
