Visited several wineries over Thanksgiving weekend with my girlfriends. I am known as a bit of a "red wine snob" and thought my experience would be similar to wineries in Missouri and Washington. ( Some OK whites and overpriced Nortons) To my surprise, Colorado has some of the best, well rounded wines I have ever tasted. The Hermosa winery was the best of the best:).

Stopped in and enjoyed our tasting with the owner. Very low key tasting room in a garage. Wine is good. Owner is happy to share his knowledge and his passion. A good stop if in the area. Pours are heavy. We bought a bottle.

Ken was a fabulous host for my tasting, very pleasant to talk to and provided some excellent restaurant recommendations during my stay. The wines were fabulous quality for anywhere, but definitely the best winery in Palisade/Grand Junction.Beautiful location with nice tasting room.

Great wine is one thing. Great location is another. Great owners and customer service are the icing on the cake. Hermosa Vineyards has all three. We really enjoyed our time there, talking with the other customers and getting to know Ken the owner. The atmosphere is intimate and open. The wine is exceptional and the location was beautiful. Thank you Ken for a wonderful time. We'll be back soon and often!

Not only is the wine at this vineyard phenomenal, but the winemaker Ken is passionate, knowledgable and extremely hospitable. The wines are high quality and this is the only place you can get them! The ice wine is one of the best I have tasted, and there wasn't one wine on the list that we didn't love. No gimmicks here, just good wine made with a lot of love and care. The beautiful grounds are a treat as well.

Ken is so kind and made us feel like family while we visited! We met some wonderful people and shared some great conversation and funny stories while sitting and staring at the Mesa! His place is gorgeous and you can see all the hard work he puts into everything, right down to the wine. Being new to learning about wine, he offered some great teaching amongst some really fun people. My husband and I hope to see him and the couple we met, in October, when we revisit palisade and the hermosa vineyards!
