A glamorous tasting room that is a tad over the top for me. It's about the wine, isn't it? Decent tasting, with room for improvement and development.

I took my wife to the Sparking Pointe last July 19th 2014 for our wedding anniversary. I went on the recommendation of a fellow graduate student. Despite the long drive, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the winery and the superb customer service. We were first greeted by assistants in the parking lot, then lead into the winery, which looks like luxury country house. We purchased the full tour and met with the winery manager, Mike. First, we went with a group outside to see only the front portion of the winery and learned about the grapes growth throughout the various seasons. Then, we went to the down stairs manufacturing plant and saw first-hand how the grapes were processed into wine. Afterwards, we hung out outside and was treated to a series of crackers, cheese and wine. Everything was very fresh with great tasting quality. We were overall impressed with the Sparkling Pointe and would go back again to explore even more of the area of Mattituck and Southhold NY.I wish I could show our photos, but the memory card on my cell phone got corrupted when I switched phones.

This in unlike any winery in the area.... instead of dark rustic rooms this is white walls, vibrant colored paintings, a large area to enjoy tastings. I like to think it is a Miami-Vice inspired estate with a mix of Rio's Carnival ... or a Rio art gallery. Try it!

If you're a fan of sparkling wines, you've got to check out Sparkling Pointe. Besides being lovely looking, comfortable and having a great staff, their sparkling wines and brand new brandy are outta this world.

Not to many people know that outside of france champagne is labeled as sparkling wine. The sparkling wine is made "methode Champenoise". All grapes are from vineyard. This is amazing. The story behind this winery is beautiful and so is the property. A must see in Southhold!

We like to get out to SP at least once a year and come home with a case of the bubbly. The service is just fine, for snacks are great, and the selections vary but that is part of the fun and whomever we bring is never disappointed. We are surprised that their products are not available in more restaurants or stores.

My family did a flight here. We really enjoyed it. There was a lovely seating area (both inside and outside) and the winery looked so beautiful as we were sitting there. The wine was good and we had good service. Would definitely recommend even if you don't usually drink sparkling wine.

The champagne "grand tasting flight" is considered decent value, tasting 4 champagnes for $17 - although I don't believe that myself. Of the fours wines the Carnaval Blanc really stood out for me, being very different and almost a dessert style champagne with a very sweet taste. I didn't enjoy the after taste of rose or brut champagne. If the weather was warmer it would have been wonderful to sit out on the patio and look over the vineyards. As its was raining everyone was inside, which created a vibey atmosphere. Sparkling Pointe do offer cheese for sale to compliment the champagne, however it isn't so much a cheese tasting as a block of cheese and a packet of crackers placed in front of you. With plastic wrappers littering the tables it felt more like a cheap picnic in a canteen than anything else. Certainly not living up to my experiences of wine and cheese tasting at vineyards around the world.

we actually did not have an opportunity to sample the wines, was out all day at different ones and wanted to check this place out, nice set up, outside and inside, several different seating areas, would probably go back to do a sampling

Lovely vineyard, with crisp, dry brut. Outdoor space is peaceful and pretty.Buy a few bottles and stick them in the refrigerator.
