A Kshs 300 (US$4) entry fee gains you access to this rustic 1960 establishment which sits atop of a ridge with great views over the shimmering green tea fields to Nairobi some 20km to the south-east. A short stroll down through eucalyptus woodlands takes you to the beautiful 18m Tigoni Waterfalls set in lush green riverine forest. A jeep track navigable by 4WD leads through the forest and across picnic fields back to the restaurant where tasty curries and tikka chicken are amongst the offerings - all at reasonable prices.This is a great spot for a chilled-out picnic or restaurant lunch in a peaceful rustic paradise only 30 minutes from the hectic urban life of Nairobi.
