We stayed in Samara for 2 nights and it was incredibly beautiful! It was soo hot but the ocean was refreshing! Clean beach, felt very safe and rode the waves forever! Another highlight of our trip : )

This nice long beach is perfect for swimming, sunbathing or just walking for miles and miles. We walked all the way to its Southern end, where the beach meets an Island called Chora.

This beach is in a lovely setting, but be prepared for a kind of muddy type sand, which makes the water less than clear.It is great for walking, but just don't expect blue water and white sand.It seemed very safe day and night.

Loved this beach! The views are amazing. It is not overcrowded and has no peddlers selling you stuff like Tamarindo. The water is quite calm because it's in a cove and very warm. This was definitely one of my favorite beaches in Costa Rica.

Samara beach is a surfers town. very busy place. Many good restaurants. the beach is very good. A large array of places to stay ranging in price.

Terrific beach, not over crowded, plenty to do plus lots of bars and resturants to chose from. Book your dolphin spotting trips, kayaking trips from Samara Adventures, very well organised and very friendly helpful staff.

Playa Samara is the perfect family beach if you're not into touristy locations, you don't want to worry about your kids playing in the waves (no rip tide - protected bay). There is quite a bit of coral that gets washed ashore during high tide, but during low tide it's a beautiful soft, gray sand beach. There are a number of great restaurants located right on the beach. I almost hate to recommend it as I want to keep it a special secret!

Spectacular views and sunsets. At low tide very deep and easily walkable. Gray, mud-like texture like most Pacific beach sands. Surf is limited except in a few areas near Samara town.

Just don't have anything bad to say about Samara Beach. Water was nice and warm. The beach wasn't overcrowded with people. If you are closer to town there are plenty of places to pop in for a drink or a meal. It was really a lovely place.
