Fantastic 2 hours spent at zoo in a great location just south of Batemans bay. Some rare animals that you wouldn't normally see in other zoos. My little one loved it, must do if you are in the area.

The Mogo Zoo is a fabulous place to get up close and personal to a wide range of animals, the Tigers are so close you feel as though you could touch them. Along with snow leopards, otters, bears and lemurs they also have some endangered species. It's the BEST zoo I've visited. Only 10 minutes south of Batemans Bay on the beautiful South Coast of NSW. It is kid friendly and has holiday activities.

We were with a group and loved every minute of our visit to Mogo Zoo. Can't wait to go back to feed the Meercats - such an incredible encounter. We also had a delicious sandwich lunch. All in all a lovely experience.

We were pleasantly surprised at this great little zoo - so many animals and so well set out. We spent about 2 1/2 hours there and could have spent much more. We used a complementary wheelchair for one of our group who was unable to walk any distance. He was able to see everything - even though lots of the paths were very fine gravel. There was plenty of shade. We especially enjoyed the many primates - many of which we had not seen elsewhere. Although there are opportunities to have close encounters with many of the animals - hands on, we did not. A great chance to let the kids feed a giraffe (costs apply for these) Full marks to the zoo keepers!

First impressions are so important and the receptionist who assisted us with the use of a wheel chair was very helpful and friendly. We found the enclosures well signed and as it is the quiet season some of the kiosks were not operating. We did see a rhino from a distance as it was not on show. We could see water buffalo too from a distance. (perhaps a breeding programme? ) The lemurs and other animals like them seemed very happy on their island homes. The white lions were good to see as sadly they are no longer found in the wild. The pathways just after you walk into the Zoo area are a little uneven and a bit narrow. We saw a lady with a double stroller finding it a little difficult however further out the pathways were spacious. We found toilets in a number of places and drink dispensers here and there. Plenty to keep children interested. There are picnic tables in the outside car parking area a short distance from the main car park. The Caf¨¦ menu was basic but what we had was fine. Lots of toys for sale and I think you can if you want pay extra and get up close and personal with some animals. As Seniors we paid $23.50 entry and that we felt was value for money. Worth putting on the list of places to see.

Excellent zoo, great place to spend 2-3 hours. Relaxed atmosphere and well set out exhibits and enclosures. Wonderful space for family picnics. Learnt a lot about so many precious and exotic animals.

My husband and I visited Mogo zoo yesterday & it is hands down the best zoo we have been to. We both did the white lion encounter, which was amazing. Such beautiful animals. The zookeeper (I'm sorry I'm horrible with names) was very informative & took a lot of photos for us. I also did the meerkat encounter, which I loved! They are such cheeky animals! The zookeeper was very knowledgable as well. We would definitely recommend doing an encounter while you're there. The encounters arent your usual 5-10 minute meetings like at other places- they last at least 20 minutes. The staff are great & the animals look happy in their enclosures, which you don't see very often. Very happy!

My husband and I picked up the Mogo Zoo Pamphlet at the Batemans Bay visitors centre and thought we might as well give it a look since it was close by and we did not regret it one bit! This is honestly the best Zoo in New South Wales I'd say! We loved that you can get so upclose and personal with all the animals and really interact with them! The difference between Mogo Zoo and other zoo's is that each animal has a place to run free and be in their own nature, some zoo's have the tendency where it looks like the animals are cramped up into a tight space, but certainly not this zoo!! We thought it was a small one, but we were in for a big surprise when we walked through! It was purely amazing! So many beautiful animals to see, and experiences to be made! We went on a warm, sunny Friday, and the animals were all out to play and show off, it was a trip that definitely will be a memory to keep and share amongst with friends! We recommend that you take the time to go here, you will fall in love with these beautiful animals and you will enjoy seeing them!! The staff are also absolutely friendly and welcoming! Thanks Mogo Zoo!

My mum and I had the chance to get up close and personal with the most breathtaking animals, feeding the white lion and playing with the smallest monkeys in the world. We were shown around by the friendliest zookeeper Lisa, who made our once in a lifetime opportunity that much more enjoyable!!Thankyou Mogo Zoo for an unforgettable and breathtaking encounter. We will definitely be coming back with friends and family by our side.Gabi and Maree

Mogo Zoo is a must for all travellers to the South Coast of NSW. Not only are the staff helpful, courteous and knowledgeable but the set up and plan of the zoo is exceptional. Add to that the incredible animals and you have a great day
