We were lucky to stop by in Childers when a screening was on at the beautiful theatre. The venue has been beautifully preserved and felt like a step back in time. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and we were even treated to some free popcorn for booking in advance online. I would definitely recommend checking out what is happening at the theatre as it is well worth a visit if you can make it!

Me and my partner visited this lovely little theatre in late December. It was recommended by the owner of our hostel and we're so glad we went. We had a chat with one of the owners (Merissa?!?) and she informed us that the building is over 100 years old, a rarity in oz! It has so much character, from the wooden lattice work ceiling to the deck chairs you sit on for the show. I would highly recommend a visit to this theatre if you're in town or passing through also if you're lucky you might just get some free popcorn like we did!
