The museum is housed in the old school building.There is actually quite a big collection of memorabilia from the gold boom and mining days here.It is worth a stop to have a look as it is only a short 10-15 minute drive from Wangaratta.

We stumbled across this little museum somewhat by chance after our Motel in Wangaratta recommended the dredge.The director of the museum is an absolute gem of a lady who personally demonstrated how to pan for gold and showed us a number of unexpected treasures. You can genuinely pan for gold here. Perfect experience for children.
