Restinga is a a bit out of the way but it's well worth the journey for the kayaking trip which you can do through Kayak Margerita. The scenery is great an you'll see plenty of birds and flying fish. It's a great way to spend an afternoon on Margerita.

Beautiful place of natural life, visit the lagoon is something you have to do, is an encounter with the natural ecosystem of the island of Margarita. You can see all kinds of wildlife while navigating in the mangroves. You need to rent a motor boat. The system is very well organized by local fishermen.

This is a National Park in Venezuela, the lake is big and you can take a tour in the lake including a visit to the beach or just in the lake, the tours are for half an hour or full hour in the lake or if you go to the beach you can arrange a pick up time. At the beach you can find souvenirs and food. It is a very beautiful place and the flora and fauna is fantastic. Get ready with your camera to take fantastic pictures.

A national park in Margarita Island, Venezuela. Accessible only by boat, which is available at the Guards' Dock, by a very reasonable price. When you arrived to the beach, be ready to find a wild paradise. Cleanest beach, full of seafood. While walking in the water you will feel the cockles, oysters, and others closing under your feet.Lying in the sun, old ladies will approach you selling seafood cocktail at a ridiculous low price. Hope it will stay like that.

If you're looking to be in touch with nature, explore the mangroves and enjoy the wildlife in Margarita Island, this is definitely the place to go. If you want to you can arrange with the boat drivers to leave you for a few hours in the beach at the other side of the lagoon and you'll get some of the best views of the Island on both sides.Highly recommended and family friendly

Took a relaxing boat trip. We saw various birds. Also starfish, crabs and seahorse. The views across the lagoon are good too. Good value trip.

Guides will take you in their covered motorized boats out into the mangroves, which are home to many birds (crack of dawn and late in the day is when they are most active) and you'll see other creatures like little star fish, crabs and other things who live only in the mangroves.

Great opportunity to see local flora and fauna: starfish, pelicanos, other types of fish and birds. You sail through a mangrove swamp, and you can take many pictures and hold a starfish in your hands and let it go back to the trees afterwards.

As other reviewers have pointed out, the boat tour is fantastic. We encountered beautiful mangroves, pelicans, starfish and seahorses. I would recommend asking the driver to drop you off at the beach for a few hours then pick you up later. The beach itself is good, but there's a restaurant there serving fresh fish, shrimp, seafood etc. This itself is great (try a plate of garlic fried shrimp with banana chips - delicious) but when walking in you'll notice some girls selling oysters. They will happily serve you a plate of a dozen oysters for $1 at your table - these were some of the freshest and most delicious I've had in years. Since they do not work as part of the restaurant - courtesy is to order at least something light from the restaurant as well. Beers are <$1 and frosty cold! The beach itself is loaded with deck chairs and is comfortable. I wouldn't count on lifeguards as in Western countries but there were plenty of people swimming when I visited. This is a good place to observe gorgeous Venezuelan women while sipping on an icy cold beer.

from the moment I stepped into the yard I had fun at La Restinga. The boat ride was thrilling and we got to see alot of the lagoon. We saw and held star fish and saw a fish jump out of the water in front of the boat. The driver stopped along the route and we saw the different names of the canals which were all based on love. It was a beautiful experience! Amazing. After the tour there were lots of places to buy souvenirs!
