My husband's family come from a village near this "lake" so I've seen it quite a few times and at different times of the year. There is nothing to see - its an underwhelming swamp full of straw. Surprised it's even on tripadvisor.

Although the lake is supposed to be larger that the other lake of the area (Doxa Lake) you don't get to see much of it. Most of its surface is covered with reeds and looks like it is dried. Too bad, it would have been a great view.

The lake itself is full of reeds and looks more like an alpine plain.The ruins of the nearby cistercian abbey of Zaraka are nearby.The location is nice,

I have been visiting the area around corinth for many years but this is the first time i ventured going on the highlands and the mountains. The route is scenic reminds me of the alps. A mountain covered in pine , small twisty roads for the Driver. There re two lakes there, lake stymfalia and lake doxa. The view is fantastic with many picknick areas among free ranging horses. Dont forget to visit st george monastry near feneos.
