It is not easy to find the Forklore Museum but it sits in plain sight. There is only one road approaching Apolonia from the south. It winds through the city and turns west at the "main plaza" where there is a taxi stand and the war memorial. Immediately to the left of the memorial, facing the road, on the east side of the plaza is the Museum. It has been closed for a very long time. The owner of the museum, we were told, is sick and does not want to open the museum. The plaza on which the memorial and the museum sit shows the signs of neglect. As you approach the iron gates of the museum, the smell of urine is apparent. We asked many locals before finding the museum. Some told us they'd never heard of this museum.

Το μικρ? αντ?τιμο τη? επ?σκεψη? δεν αποτελε? λ?γο να μη το επισκεφθε?τε. Το ενδιαφ?ρον και η προσοχ? μα? ενθαρρ?νει παρ?μοιε? προσπ?θειε? διατ?ρηση? τη? πολιτιστικ?? κληρονομ?α? μα?. Εξ?λλου στην Ελλ?δα διαπιστ?νεται καθημεριν? πω? ?τι λειτουργε? οφε?λεται στο φιλ?τιμο και την φιλοπατρ?α των Ελλ?νων.

Ce petit musée de la vie locale de Sifnos offre quelques belles pièces (anciens intruments de travail, artisanat, histoire locale, etc...) mais l'ensemble est hétéroclite et donne plus une impression de marché aux puces que de musée.Il vaut malgré tout le détour et le prix d'entrée n'est que de 2 euros, donc pas de regrets.
