Now being restored under private ownership, with assistance from the council, it is a work in progress. Anyone visiting should be aware it is only partially complete. Being interested in History, I found the visit enjoyable. The Gentleman watching over the tickets and entry was kind and informational. Though with only the bare bones of a castle to work with one must use their imagination.
