Ulcinj have a beautifull old town by the sea. Good restaurants but you have to check that they can manage to serve Your table at the same time time (somtimes two guests finish the dinner before the rest get something to eat..... otherwise it is a Nice Place With museum and artgallery.

This museum is located within the old town, on the hill overlooking small beach and the bay of Ulcinj. If you are visiting the old town then please stop by. The entrance fee was 2 euros when I went collected by a man sitting in an archway in the shade next to the iron gates..This appears to have had some EU funding in regards to the restoration of parts and the housing of exhibits. Once through the gates you enter a courtyard area with the majority of what there is to see to your right. There is a church like building housing several artifacts and a cool place to shelter from the beating suntrap of the courtyard. To the back of the courtyard and to the left you are able to go up another level which offers some stunning panoramic views of the bay. *WARNING* this section is high - there are no safety fences and those fences that are there appear original, rusty and untrustworthy. If you have young children with you keep hold of their hand, one side is 5 meters to the courtyard the other side is 500 meters to the sea!Once back in the courtyard make your way to the left and behind the church where there are 2 other buildings - one houses a collection of photographs of Montenegro from various photographers and the other a collection of artifacts including traditional dress of times gone by.There are toilets at this museum although they are very basic - hold on and visit a nearby bar for a drink and use theirs.This was definitely worth the 2 euro entrance fee and in 35+ degree sun, 4 children under the age of 7 took about an hour to walk around with several 'rests'.Of note - there are plenty of steps the photography gallery and the other building housing artifacts are both in towers with no lifts

The entrance fee is 2€ and there is a man at the iron gate to the museum collecting it. From the entrance to the left, there are lines of the slave cages from the slave trading era. To the right is the remain of the mosque from the Ottoman era. There is another iron gate just few steps up from the pass from the buidling with the ground floor with the big city plan sculpture is open and people can enter accidentally. I saw boys entering from there.

this little museum is tucked away in one of the corners of the old town. i definitely think it's worth stopping in if you're in ulcinj.admission is only one euro and there are three separate parts (as the title says). my favorite was the ethnographic museum. they had costumes from not only the ulcinj area but all of montenegro.all signage was in montenegrin, english and russian. it doesn't take long to go through but it's a nice stop and a nice way to support the local community.
