Amazing vistas and fun places to stop along the byway! The road is bumpy and dusty, which naturally limits the traffic if you are looking for a place without as many people. You must stop at Jones' Store for pie!

It's a long drive and some of it is over a dirt track but well worth the time spent. Amazing views and really quiet away from the traffic at Yosemite.

We did this based on a recommendation of a travel show. There are several good views and things of interest, but it takes a very long time to drive the loop. A portion of it is also unpaved and VERY bumpy and uncomfortable to ride on. We did see a bear. There were also a few hikes available.
