Vacations are always nice. Shopping for souvenirs is even better. While up on Johnston Ridge we looked ,but nothing really caught my eye. Plus the fact the prices where a little high. Once we where down from the ridge and at our motel. It was time to go check out the little store. I walked over to the little store. I opened the door and the lady said hi to me and told me if I needed any help to let her know. Their where two other people in the store shopping. I took my time and settled on on a turtle carved from the polished lave rock. Our youngest son likes turtles. I even bought a pair of earrings made from the lava ash. (So far, I haven't had to remove them from my ears either - and that's a good sign).
