In downtown Vicksburg, it's not far from the park but they offer a souvenir you can't get at the park: civil war bullets, shot and cannon balls. All locally recovered and various conditions and prices. For a dropped (unfired) Minnie ball in great condition expect to pay $3.00. Canister shot about $9. It's good to see the battlefield and listen to the history, but for when a hat pin or postcard just isn't enough to make the experience "real", they offer history you can hold and take home.
