Among all the boutique and specialties shops in Gruene, I was most impressed with the Black Swan. Besides having a large sign out front, you can recognize it by the humongous wind-chimes that can be heard all over town. The old house that has been transformed into this gift shop has a remarkable history. If you go, please take the time to visit with the people who work there because they have such interesting stories about, not only the items in the shop, but about the history and background of the original and current owners.What intended to be a 'quick look around' ended up taking well over an hour!
