It's been a few years since we've seen the Big Spring "Kitch-iti-kipi" and we're glad we stopped when traveling through Michigan's U.P. again in August, 2014. It's north off U.S. 2 highway and will only take you minutes to get to Palms Book State Park where the spring is located. This is a sate park. If you have a Michigan "passport" sticker on your license plate, there's no charge; if not, the fee is small - but so well worth it! There is a large covered raft that will hold many people and it is propelled by a wheel & cable mechanism, which young people love to operate. You travel across this clear water spring slowly and see trout in this 45 ft. deep & cold water filled hole. It is amazing and very picturesque. Do bring you camera. Highly recommend!!!
