What a labor of love this gallery is! A few local artists came together and created a place for local artists to show and sell their work. Beautiful location, beautiful layout, and some very beautiful pieces. I bought a necklace from the artist who was working. Interesting because i learned about the unique piece in a way i never would just going to a store! Love it!

It's great to find a place chuck full of authentic U.P. art work and crafts, with many of the artists on hand to help you. I will be back again for sure!!!

This is a wonderful little art gallery filled with works from local artists. It is so nice to find a place to buy gifts that are actually made in the U.P.. I was impressed with the variety of items available - beautiful jewelry, pottery, silk scarves, woven items and woodworking in addition to paintings. I enjoyed speaking with the artist who was on staff the day I was there. The gallery has a beautiful location along the Manistique river. I had a lovely couple of hours eating lunch at the sandwich shop ("Upper Crust") next door, then browsing through the art gallery as well as the nearby antiques shop. I definitely recommend taking the time to stop in!

Great little art gallery that showcases local talent. I bought a Mommy Vase and use it all of the time. I felt the prices were reasonable and priced for everyone.

Lake Effect Art Gallery is absolutely adorable and customer friendly. Beautiful variety of amazing artwork, affordably priced, perfect souvenirs of your visit to Manistique. I am an artist who has paintings for sale in this gallery -- and I am not just tooting my own horn. You will love the folks on staff; you are sure to make new friends. AND the gallery is very near the lighthouse on the waterfront!

This gallery features many UP artists and I am impressed with the variety of art from fiber to photography to woodworking to painting and MORE! Good prices and an excellent sandwich shop right next door.

Tucked away at the south side of US2, this gallery houses a wealth of treasures. With a continually changing stock, you can find gifts in all price ranges or treats for yourself. Last week, I found and bought a tiny ceramic "Mommy Pot" and filled it with roadside flowers in all its many openings to put on the bedside table for my visiting cousin. She was delighted - both with the pot and the idea of having her own tiny bouquet. Worth a quick trip or a long visit to see everything at this gallery.
